Board Nominations & Roles
Do you want to make a powerful impact on the future of our REALTOR® Association? Would you like to be more involved and stand up for private property rights and our real estate industry? If so, running for the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors is for you!
Rules and responsibilities for those open positions are below, along with our Conflict of Interest Policy.
President-Elect Requirements
- To serve as President-Elect, the Member must have served 2 of the past 5 years as a Director at RRAR.
Secretary-Treasurer Requirements
- To serve as Secretary-Treasurer, the Member must have served 2 of the past 5 years as a Director at RRAR.
Director Position Requirements:
Be a REALTOR® member in good standing for at least two (2) years
Have not been involuntarily removed per Section 6 of the Association’s Bylaws
Must have actively served on and met at least two (2) of the following criteria:
- One complete term of service on an RRAR, NCR, or NAR committee within the last five (5) years.
- Been a member of a sanctioned RRAR council for at least one-year (12 months) during the last five (5) years.
- Been a member of a presidential-appointed work group during the last five (5) years.
- Has previously served on the REALTOR® Giving Network, or RRAR Board of Directors, within the last five (5) years.
- Graduated from the Triangle REALTORS® Leadership Academy, or similar leadership academies sponsored by NCR or NAR.
