Grievance Committee
Government Policy and Issues Committee
The Government Policy & Public Issues Committee (GPIC) sets the Association's policy agenda and positions RRAR as a trusted voice on real estate and housing issues across Wake and Harnett counties. GPIC invites expert speakers to educate members on critical industry issues, responds to and promotes NC REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® "Calls to Action," and develops comprehensive policy positions that guide RRAR's advocacy efforts throughout the year. The committee conducts annual candidate interviews for offices within the Association's jurisdiction, evaluating candidates' positions on key real estate issues and recommending endorsements to the Board of Directors. Following interviews, GPIC designates "REALTOR® Champions" whose candidacies merit investment from the RPAC Committee. GPIC meets every other month to ensure RRAR members have a strategic and informed voice in shaping policies that impact property rights, housing affordability, and the business of real estate. We meet every other second Wednesday beginning in February.
Leadership Identification & Development (LID) Committee
Identifies, develops, and mentors association members to lead RRAR's flexible, efficient, thoughtful, and strategic governance.
The LID Committee will certify the qualifications of candidates for the Board of Directors and Officers. LID also reviews RRAR's leadership development activities and identifies improvements to those activities.
Professional Development Committee
Composition: The committee shall comprise no more than 35 members. No member of this committee shall serve simultaneously on either the Grievance Committee or on the Association’s Board of Directors. Members of the committee must serve on the Grievance Committee prior to serving on the Professional Standards Committee. Members of the committee shall serve a term of one year.
Other: All members of the Professional Standards committees must attend an approved training session as soon as possible after appointment to the committee and at least every 2 years thereafter.
The RPAC Committee fuels RRAR's political influence by raising funds to support candidates who champion property rights, housing affordability, and the business of real estate. The committee educates members on how strategic political investments protect their livelihoods and communities, while cultivating a culture of engaged advocacy among RRAR's 10,000+ members. Using GPIC's "REALTOR® Champion" designations and comprehensive candidate scorecards, the committee strategically deploys RPAC dollars to maximize impact in local, state, and federal races. Through innovative fundraising initiatives—from major donor events to grassroots campaigns—the RPAC Committee ensures REALTORS® have a seat at the table when policies affecting the industry are decided. All activities are conducted in full compliance with North Carolina political fundraising guidelines. RPAC meeting on the first Wednesday of every other month beginning in January

The plan is then presented to the Board of Directors no later than the April Board of Directors meeting.
