Local housing nonprofits recieve critical funds for general operations

RALEIGH, NC – September 14, 2020

REALTORS® know the importance of HOME. More than ever, our community is seeing a need for safe, stable housing and REALTORS® continue to demonstrate their commitment to strong, healthy neighborhoods by financially supporting The REALTOR® Foundation of Wake County (RFOWC). Since 2007, the REALTOR® Foundation has made a deep investment in the Triangle to help better the lives of our neighbors who call North Carolina home.

Thanks to generous donations from REALTORS® we are proud to announce the recipients of our 2nd Annual Community Grants Program:

  • The Carying Place
  • The Women’s Center

“We are proud and humbled to offer crucial operational money to each of these nonprofits providing critical care, resources and hope to those in our community who are homeless or transitioning from homelessness to stable housing,” said Andrew Sims, CEO of The REALTOR® Foundation of Wake County.

The Community Grants Program provides general funding to area nonprofit organizations that address unmet housing needs in Wake County. RFOWC prioritizes proven housing-based solutions linked with supportive services. The next grant application cycle will be in summer of 2021. For more information, visit www.rfowc.org.
