2012 Election Update:
The 2012 NC Primaries are in full swing - with early voting continuing thru May 5th, and election day voting on May 8th. New maps yielded new districts so check your district and polling place so you know your candidates.
May 8th will decide the Democratic and Republican candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor as well as decide many NC General Assembly races where there is no general contest.
Although RRAR did not interview or officially support any candidates in the primaries, the NC REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC) has made contributions to several business allies running for the NC General Assembly. These individuals are:
Incumbent Senator Dan Blue (D) Senate-14
Incumbent Senator Neal Hunt (R) Senate-15
Incumbent House Member Tom Murry (R) House-41
Incumbent House Member Paul Stam (R) House-37
Candidate Abeni El-Amin, House District 38
To get acquainted with the candidates and the new districts, the NC Free Enterprise Foundation (formerly the NC FREE) has put together a comprehensive Election Tracker on their website, showing current candidates for statewide office. Click here to access the tracker.
