Continuing Education
The Continuing Education department offers REALTORS® the opportunity to complete 4- hour NC Real Estate Commission approved continuing education courses both in the classroom and online. The North Carolina educational year is from July 1- June 10. The annual Mandatory Update course and the annual Broker-in-Charge Update (BICAR) are the only two courses that must be taken in the classroom. To see your full continuing education record, please visit the NC Commission website at www.ncrec.state.nc.us or call 919-875-3700. Our records will only show those courses you have taken from RRAR.
Course Schedules
Course schedules are published in three month increments with the next schedule coming out about a month before the classes begin. You may look here on the website at the current schedule or you can ask us to mail you one.

We must have payment in order to register you for a class and registration is on a first come, first serve basis. The full tuition fee less $10.00 will be refunded if cancellation notice is received at least 24 hours prior to the course. If class is missed without 24 hour notice, entire fee is forfeited. If you cancel and a credit is added to your file, that credit will not expire. If you would like to use a credit on file, please call us to register.
As an Association member, you must also complete a course in ethics once every four years. Everyone is on the same four year period which currently started January 1, 2009 and ends Dec. 31, 2012. To complete your ethics education requirement, you have several options: 1. Take a four-hour Commission approved course in ethics either online or in classroom for $60(which will count as an elective), 2. attend the two-hour ethics portion of the New member orientation held the first and third Thursdays of the month for $25 (does not give you elective credit) or 3. take the ethics online course at NAR for free (does not give you elective credit). Regardless of where you take your ethics course, please fax us a copy of your certificate of completion.
To make sure you are getting the most recent updates to the Continuing Education calendar, please be sure that we have your current email and that all your identification information is up-to-date.
